pi*r*r*h (pi times radius squared times height)

3.141*.5cm*.5cm*7cm = 5.498cm cubed

Using significant figures:
(3.1)*(0.5cm)*(0.5cm)*(7.0cm) = 5.4cm cubed

Or if you'd like cubic millimeteres:
3.141 * 5 * 5 * 70 = 5,496.75mm cubed (5,400mm cubed for you significant figures folks).

I like the 5.498cc accuracy better, but what do the teachers want...
