I am looking for a movie and all I know is this guy is starting up a band and cannot find a lead singer so he creates one from a computer using bits and pieces of pictures from a magazine. She is blonde and beautiful but it seems to cause problems between him and a girl that likes him, then others find out she's not real and want to buy her. I hope this helps my daughter really wants me to find this movie. Thanks

"Simone" tells the story of a director at the end of his rope, who inherits a mad inventor's computer program that allows him to create an actress out of thin air. She becomes a big star and the center of a media firestorm, and he's trapped: The more audiences admire her, the less he can reveal she is entirely his work.
Viktor creates Simone's performance on a computer that stands all alone in the middle of an otherwise empty sound stage. The other actors in the movie are told Simone will be added to their scenes electronically. The premiere of the first movie is a huge success, and of course paparazzi from the supermarket tabloids stalk Viktor in hopes of photographing Simone. No luck.
The movie was written, produced and directed by Andrew Niccol, who wrote "The Truman Show" and wrote and directed "Gattaca," both films about the interface between science and personality. "
