The canonical nine Muses are:
Euterpe (music) carries a flute; Calliope (epic poetry) carries a writing tablet; Clio (history) carries a scroll and books; Erato (lyric poetry) is often seen with a lyre and a crown of roses; Melpomene (tragedy) is often seen with a tragic mask; Polyhymnia (sacred poetry) is often seen with a pensive expression; Terpsichore (dancing) is often seen dancing and carrying a lyre; Thalia (comedy) is often seen with a comic mask; and Urania (astronomy) carries a staff pointed at a celestial globe.
Aristotle, Poetics
Since living persons are the objects of representation, these must necessarily be either good men or inferior--thus only are characters normally distinguished, since ethical differences depend upon vice and virtue--that is to say either better than ourselves or worse or much what we are
Clio (history) carries a scroll and books; this book is write by conquerors.
The conquerors are good and the vanquished are garbage.

People always want to better their lives this has an effect on history. The example of this is Russia. In Tzarist Russia you have tons of poor peasant farmers and some guy comes around, Lenin, talking about you will have Food and Peace (withdrawal from the Great War (WWI)). This got rid of the temporal government of the time. This effects history by the first quasi Marxist government and the Cold War. People wanted to better their lives in Colonial America by not paying 2 cents tax from the crown, so we rebelled. This created the first Republic. We continue toward England. In England they didn't wanted Absolutism and they rebelled against the King Charles I then got Cromwell. They didn't like him and he died and no body listened to his son. After this they slowly curb the power of the crown with the Glorious Revolution (1688).

This even plays out today with people looking to the government to help them.

Egypt in its ancient days never, i mean never recorded any defeats.

Also, since history has been recorded by white men(no racisicm intended) there is a bias, we know almost nothing about African tribes, Native Americans, the people in america even before the Native Americans, and many more.

Politics and social forces define what happen. What happens, when it's all taken together, IS history.
