If apologies aren't working, maybe he just isn't worth it. Perhaps you should just pull back, lie low, and let the dust settle. Leave the ball in his court and see if/when he comes around. And if not, maybe there wasn't anything of real substance, to begin with. You may want to refocus your efforts at building new friendships.

If u already apologized 50 times and he is still made, then he is NOT a true friend. let it go because you did apologized {50 } times. A true friend forgives and forgets after the first few apologies. Now let him come to you because you already did your part by apologizing to him and he is the one who is upset with u.

bestfriends do miss each other. so, what's the big fuss with you telling him that he miss you.
just wait for him to cool down and you can talk it over.
