I have a paper to write for my college American Government class about a singe important issue in the US. The paper has to be 7-10 pages and I have to make a 5 minute presentation. My problem is I don't know what to write. To be honest, I have no interest in politics and am really dreading this paper.
So, help me out. What would is the most important issue that the nation faces today? Keep in mind I have to come up with some ideas about how to correct the problem.

You could consider not approaching the assignment as an immediate "most important issue" today! Instead, try to discuss a larger picture.
The most important issue facing the US today is how will it position itself in the ever growing global economy, where the the digital age is connecting nations at an overwhelming pace, so that the US can remain an influential Super Power, and thus control its destiny--if that is still possible?
This should give you enough to work with for such a large paper.
Your solution is easy: The US must remain a dominate military force. A SUPERPOWER if you will.....

the single best undertaking in u.s. is getting individuals to pay for the products and centers they desire government to furnish. or a minimum of get the republican celebration to start advancing the thought this is okay to have a functioning federal government. each republikan president because of the fact that nixon has left place of work with a deficit.

the illegal immigration going on in the south. after 9/11 our nation is still not secure if illegal immigrants can sneak into the country without notice. If illegal immigrants can do it then islamic terrorists can definetly sneak in a something dangerous behind our backs.
