I don't think you can give too much attention, but it is important to give the right kind of attention.
Rather than flattering him, you may ask him his opinions on certain subjects, involve him in an interesting discussion, tell him what specific things you admire about him.
A person wants to know more than to hear that they are adorable. I can tell you are a sweet, generous person with your words and spirit. But for the relationship to grow, it needs to go beyond recognizing how adorable he is.

Not as long as he is okay with the attention that you are giving him. Although, you both do need separate lives from each other or you would go insane! But love on him all you can! And never forget this feeling that you have for him right now. Even when you are mad at him when you are married, or when he won't put his socks in the hamper.
