I'd like some advice on how to make my Presarion V2000 quieter when it runs. Right now whenever it runs, makes a buzzing sound of either the hard drive or RAM or something. Is there something i could do to make my laptop run quieter by any means?

The sounds you're hearing are likely your hard drive, your CD/DVD drive and your cooling fans. I'm afraid there isn't much you can do about any of them.

If could be just your fan running because your laptop is getting hot, try having some air space between the bottom of the laptop and the table or you lap. It might not be the reason its making the buzzing sound but its worth a try.

i had that same problem with mine (an HP something or other) but the fan started buzzing and then it eventually died, i took it under warranty and its still in the shop getting fixed, if your computer is on warranty bring it in and see what they can do

absolutely.

Take it up onto a tall building, walk out on the roof, and throw it off.
Now go downstairs and gather up the pieces.
It will be absolutely silent from that moment on.
Hope this works for you!
