howard has the numbers, but he plays for the phillies...'nuff said...
mvp will be either beltran (mets) or pujols (cards)...

Howard is playing the best in the stretch and without him the Phillies would not even be close to making it. Even if the Phils do not make the playoffs, ifthey come close and Howard is still hitting he will win..Beltran is having a great year..but so is Wright, an d reyes, They haev 3 guys with 100 RBIs...

The mvp will be Beltran... look at what the MVP award really means and look at where the mets are right now!
Howard hits homers sure, but he strikes out way too much, cant play defense, doesnt steal bases, and doesnt score enough runs.

If the Phillies make the playoffs, I don't see how it could be anyone other than Ryan Howard. He just hit two more homers tonight, bringing his totals to 56 HRs and 137 RBI, and there are still three weeks left in the season.

It has to be Ryan Howard. Two weeks ago I would've said either Pujols or Beltran, but have you seen Howard lately!! He is on fire! 56 home runs and over 135 RBI's!! It has to be Howard, that's a no brainer.

Despite the present "run" by Howard, I'd still pick CARLOS BELTRAN as he also sparkles defensively -- notice those two fantastic catches in the past week?!

I think Pujols if the Phillies do not make the playoffs. If they do than Howard will probably get the nod.
