I have noticed this a lot. Is it cultural or for other reasons. Women from Asia would be the best to answer.

I am not a woman nor Asian but I have been married to two different Asian women.
Asian women wear them long or short to their personal taste. as do White, Hispanic, black, and any other women.
I have seen no pre-disposition for asian over other races to wear nails longer.
Your question borders on Racist and bigoted.

I haven't seen this in LA near UCLA there's tons of "asians" and they're nails are often bitten down to the core (must be all that studying) i haven't seen a single Asian with long nails like you mention, not even in the manicure shops.

I read articles about this.
In Japan the girls actually will pierce their nails and have little jewelry dangle off. They have all sorts of glue-on decorations and wild paints. It's a huge business there. Nails for them is like hair for us. They style constantly. Why do you think so many asians work in nail salons?

I live in Japan now. Not all grow their nails long. However, most do cause they think it looks sexy. And for the most part it does. However, some look plain silly. In Japan there is a whole industry devoted to nail painting and design.

I have also noticed in nail /fibreglass/wraps they place on ?? fake nails ? ps okay not only being half chinese but also all the asians I know I have not seen anyone with extremly long nails here. Maybe it is just a fashion trend where you live ?

Long nails were first, in China, a sign of aristocracy. That is, I am so rich I don't have to work and can let my nails grow long.

i know a lot of asian girls and they do not grow their nails long!!!!!!!i'm asian and i don't..i think the only asian person i know that grows long nails is my auntie!

I'm asian and no....it's not for any cutural reasons. Everyone can g\row their nails long, its their choice if they want to or not. Don't really matter.

A little bit of nail is fine... but I agree with you. Long nails are kinda low.
