Diet should be at least 65-85% meat consisting of commercial turtle food, trout chow, beef heart, cooked chicken, fish live or fresh caught (not frozen). Meat should be dusted once a week with a good herp vitamin containing D3.Dark green leafy vegetables can be used to fill the rest of the diet.

Other people have given you good advice about what the painted turtle's diet should consist of. However, there are some other very VERY important things to consider before you buy that turtle.

First is size. That turtle isn't always going to be a cute little thing. Female painteds, depending on the species you get, can grow up to 10" in shell length and need at least 125 gallon aquarium. Males can get up to 8" long and require at least a 75 gallon tank as an adult. That's a big, expensive tank.

Also, a turtle, if cared for properly, can easily outlive you. Are you willing to make a lifetime commitment to a pet? Please have a look at the care sheets for painted turtles before you bring one home and accidentally kill it by not caring for it properly.

you can buy turtle food and suppliment with vegetables
BUT
bewarned turtles are not always good pets
they do carry diseases - especially samonella.. they are NEVER good for kids.. and the pet industry sometimes steals them from the wild which is sadly causing the native population to diminish so again
Turtles are not good pets

Diet
The Painted Turtle, when young eats mostly carnivorously, dining on larvae, beetles and maggots. When they mature, they eat more omnivorously, eating snails, insects, crayfish and leeches. Their primary diet can include duckweed, water lilies and algal matter, as well as insects, worms, leeches, crayfish, tadpoles, and small fish.
