Its actually CTRL+ALT+DEL, not Enter.
You can also open your Start menu, click Run, and type "msconfig". Click the Startup tab and clear the ticks from all the items you dont need. That should be almost everything, with the possible exception of anti-virus software. Stopping these programs from running when your computer starts will decrease your boot time.
You could also try a defrag.

While we're not sure which operating system you are using, you can still (at your own risk) point to Start, Run and type in msconfig and tap the Enter key on your keyboard. Now that you have your System Configuration Utility open, point up to the Startup tab at the top right of this window and click on that tab. Now, you will see a complete list of startup items that load everytime you boot up. There are some other things that could be hindering your system too, such as a virus, trojan horse, worm or spyware. At Virtual Lab Systems, we deal directly with these issues daily. For more information, our site may be of help to you.

hi, perhaps you can try norton to remove the virus and protect your PC, but you need to pay for the software.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:
