It seems to me that there was a lot of defense for Michael Moore, and Oliver Stone when they took some creative license with past events, so where is the ACLU?

How can the Democrats EVER claim to be the protectors of "free speech" again!?!

Excellent question... I was watching the news about that tonight... Its not surprising to me, thats just how the democrats are...9/11 can be directly linked to the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION and they dont want the rest of America to know it...Hey? is it possible that they are doing this because of the upcoming election in November????? ... Anyway..this is just one example out of the 1,000,000's of hypocracies the dem's are known for...what a bunch of cowards
God bless America and the Republican party that defends her

Has there been any lawsuits filed in court that would censor the movie? Has any court been asked to keep the movie off the air?

If not, then it's not a legal issue. Now, if a lawsuit is filed, I would absolutely expect the ACLU to defend the movie producers rights.

But if it's just the Democrats whining and screaming and complaining, then as pathetic as I think that is, it's not a legal issue.

The ACLU only takes a role as friend of the court, and only in precedent setting cases. They in fact do fight for civil rights, they choose their battles based on the criteria of it being a precedent where the outcome could in fact change the interpretation of the law.

As a matter of record, not all members of the ACLU are democrats.

Unmasking the true intentions and motivations of a cynical, elitist liberal corps working to transform America into a variant of European secularism and socialism. Bolstering the spirits of those beleaguered by blame America first political correctness and its never-ending attacks on beloved American institutions and traditions. Why would the ACLU do anything to get the truth out. They never have in the past.

We seem to forget the extent of the First Amendment. By those given rights we have the right to:

Tell lies, murder, steal, abuse, destroy, sabotage, and anything else you can think of.

We can do all those things because we have the right to do them BUT in all cases there is a penalty if we hurt anyone by so doing.

And it is the penalties that keep most of us from enjoying any of those rights.

Think of that when you spout off about our Rights.

The ACLU only gets into the mess when you are denied your Rights.

has anyone brought a lawsuit? that is when ACLU gets involved, they dont run around the country like knights looking for dragons to slay, they have to be asked first

Proof positive free speech is for liberals only
This morning on FOX they were talking about how berger and albright had threatened ABC subsidiaries broadcast licenses.
Doesn't anyone remember berger trying to sneak documents from the 9/11 report research out in his socks!? That should be a pretty good indication he is devious.
It doesn't take a military strategist to realize hamas/terrorists would not have attacked us if we had our pre-clinton military strength.

The ACLU has limited funds. They can't sue for everything. It is very very expensive to get nativity scenes taken down from city displays.

The ACLU is eager to initiate lawsuits when the Leftist ideology is suited. They were founded by the Communist Party, a fellow named Baldwin, to further the progressive Communist agenda.

Fahrenheit 9/11 wasn't on tv either, put them both on back to back and let us decide who is stretching the truth
