Ha! The News Divisions of ABC, NBC and CBS have been carrying the Democrats' water for decades.

You cannot trust the major networks to tell you the truth straight up. They very seldom lie outright, but the do distort constantly. When the unemployment rate was 4.8% under Clinton, it was great news, when it hit 4.6% under GWB, it was either not mentioned at all, or it was followed by some Democratic shill claiming we were headed into a recession. (Yeah, Right!)

It has always been about the advertising dollar and nothing else. They put on whatever they think will sell. The content never had anything to do with it. How many dollars will they make in the next two months on political advertising alone? Why can't each state have an open cable politcal channel for political opinions, advertising and debates that would cost the canidates nothing? We might then be able to have good citizens who want to be part of the politcal process get involved. If you don't have the money to run then you will never be heard. It's a sad state of affairs and it is not about to change. Advertising dollars rule the airwaves and we let them get away with it.

Actually the media and political parties have been tightly bound together for quite sometime. In the early days, around the colonials, all the news would be made by political parties. Its been fairly recent when the media actually became independent.

I don't really watch the network news much, i ussually get my news from articles or from C-Span something that is much less sensational.

If you'll think back, it was under the administration of "Ronny Ray-Gun", that the "Media" became, less regulated!!! ~ The relaxation of the regulatory controls, that were created to INSURE that Americans had a "Free" press, allowed a very small group of people, to control the entire industry!!! ~ Of coures, it comes as no surprise, that this group is composed of very wealthy Ultra Conservative zealots, who have an unwavering desire, to rise to the top of the heap, in this gang of thugs, who support the NeoCON agenda, through whoring themselves and their resources out, to the PNAC organization!!! ~ It is they, who constattly hype the MYTH of a "Liberal" media!!!

If you are referring to the recent controversy regarding the docudrama/ fictional/ true account of what transpired before and up to 9-11, think about this one. It's brought to you commercial free, someone or company -organization has purchased the time from the network, follow the money. Usually they sell time to advertisers, in this instance there is no time to buy because it has been purchased, all air time.

Most of the broadcast tv stations (cbs, abc, nbc) have a liberal bias. CNN started neutral and slowly acquired a liberal bias. Fox has always had a conservative bias.
