"Haring (Keith) was diagnosed with AIDS in late 1988. Soon after that, with the unihibited candor that defined him and his work, he gave ROLLING STONE a penetrating and philosophical interview about his illness. Death, he said, is "not a limitation, in a way. It could have happened any time, and it is going to happen sometime. If you live your life according to that, death is irrelevant."" Any comments? --no religious sh*t please...sorry don't know who the source of the quote is..I just cut it out a magazine while I was very sick.

I have had more than my share of near death experiences. In 1982, I was shot point blank range twice in the head...and lived to tell. I learned that dying is not the horror story we believe it to be...no big deal what so ever. And that was when I was sure I was dying! I have never lived my life with a fear of death, for there will always be that day when it is going to happen..so what. IT is the period between birth and death that counts, not before, not after....IF we spend our lives in fear of death, we are prone to do foolish things, believe preposterous things, feebly grab at straws of hope when no hope exists. I would rather live a very real life, knowing it has very real limits...and to cram as much life into that time as possible. The last thing I want to hear myself ask, on my death bed, would be "I wish I had....." I would much rather say, "Perhaps I shouldn't have done...." This leads to a much bigger life, I believe. Good luck

This quote is a healthy reminder that, as there was a beginning, there'll be an end to our lives. Always, it's the quality, not the quantity of days that has the real value. Still, my dearest wish is to travel from the cradle to the grave via the longest route possible. After all, we're gonna' be dead a loooooooong time(maybe!).

I had an intensive to dying journey. easily i think of it is no longer close to dying, this is dying and then being further back to life. i became into bleeding out of my intestines. once I laid down in the emergency room I head the nurse day that my blood tension became into 30 over 0- i attempted to tell the nurse some thing yet i could no longer. Then I heard a buzz in my ears and my listening to went. Then each thing became black and white and then my imaginative and prescient narrowed from out peripheral imaginative and prescient and narrowed till all went black. Then i became into unexpectedly in the white mild. i became into awear of myself yet uncertain if i became into in my physique or no longer. The white mild became into superb. Like a zillion diamonds sparkling. It became into like in the gap like a small dot and the mild grew. in case you have been in a snowfall driving a vehicle on the hours of darkness and the vehicle lighting fixtures fixtures make an identical internet site. I felt appropriate peace. no longer one human thoughts. No concern, no rigidity, no insecurities, no regrets. basically appropriate peace. i assumed to myself.......wow it is the day I die. i actually theory i may well be older.....yet wow it is it. I reported to my self that I were enjoyed and had babies and grandchildren and that loss of life looked very ok. Scientists and docs say that the mild is properly the techniques functioning with a loss of oxygen. I say that i became into on my thank you to God. To organic peace and regardless of eternity holds. according to possibility you could write the essay as in case you have been easily loss of sensible I did and in the white mild you ponder whether it is basically the techniques loss of life or in case you're on a spiritual journey.

That quote is very inspiring. I think there's a latin phrase for things that make you realize you're only human, it's related to the seize the day quote.

I like that quote. It's an interesting look at death. My Uncle died of lung cancer 3 years ago, he would have liked this quote too.

My family has a family quote that sums it up for us. "Life sucks and then you die". Its pragmatic and sarcastic and irreverent, like we are. But its the truth.

I, for one, am happy any morning I wake up breathing.

If you have live your life they way you want it and enjoyed it, it's true.

Somehow, some regrets that it didn't last long enough while you are enjoying it.
