Yes She Originally had a Boyfriend ......However Before the Pilot aired they decided to delete the scenes that referred to him.

Yes, I miss the show, I search for the re-runs. I agree with Di's answer- how are we supposed to know ,if they deleted the scenes. However, I do remember- barely- watching a late-night re-run of the pilot, when I was half asleep. I was struck by the fact that Scully mentioned something about a date or broken date with so & so, and Mulder gave her a little guff. But, sadly, I remember no name or details. I was also thinking about how beautifully they both aged. They looked kind of dorky in the beginning.

If the scenes were deleted before airing, just how would a person be able to answer your question without having access to the script or one of the cast members? I believe I have watched every episode of the X-Files and I don't remember any subsequent reference to Dana's boyfriend?! Don't you miss that show?
