You english seems okay to me, since you are able to post a comprehensible sentence here. You can take free ESL classes to help you speak and understand the language easily and effectively. Since English is considered a universal language, you can't do away with it really. What if you learn Japanese and the company dumps you? Other companies in the US won't care at all if you can converse in Japanese but can't in English. So I would suggest for you to take those ESL (English as a Second Language) classes first.
Then learn Japanese on the side too.

I think you should study Japanese because it's a Japanese company, but also know some English words. It will help alot if you know a little of both. Good Luck!
