No, if it did, my system would have been shot along with millions long ago. We had the free version but recently with the pro. It is better. it is worth the 20. 00 But if you don't have the money, I wouldn't worry about using the free version, I had for a long time. I do run adaware and spybot and Norton once a week.

the free version of it might contain adware. i know i had that problem with KaZaA. i'd recommend spending the $20 or whatever to get the good version. then i don't think you'll have to worry about adware and spyware (unless you download a program with a virus, of course).

well i don't know about every1 else but when my lil bro downloaded dat stuff 2 my laptop, i found out dat adware came along with it. so if u do decide 2 use it, read da license agreement very carefully cuz dey usually tell u if adware or spyware is goin 2 be downloaded along with it.

I use it and mine seems okay. I could be very wrong and not know it though. You can get limewire lite which is nice. Just be careful what you download. You can scan your downloads with a virus protection program if you are suspicious.

Depends on which version you are running. I've heard the free version contains spyware/malware. The pro version does not, and I've never had any problems using it.

It doesn't hurt to install but I have heard that if you are not careful, you can download some pretty nasty stuff.
