If you have "oily" skin why are you moisturizing!? Your skin is already overproducing oil that is why it is OILY. Many women have oil only in what is called the "T-zone" area of the face. The forehead, nose and chin. If you are only oily there do not put any moisturizer in those areas! If you are oily all over your face only put moisturizer in the DRY areas of the skin. You say you are "only 15" well this is typically PRIME age for oily skin! I know because I and most of my friends went though this. Many of us (including myself) went to a professional Dermatologist (skin doctor) trying to get rid of the oily skin. I'm no doctor but in my experience the things to do are to stop moisturizing the oily areas...they have enough natural oil...do not need any more moisture. Secondly you may want to check what you are washing your skin with. You need something that is NOT oil based. It needs to be made for oily skin. Do not over scrub your face thinking that the oil is caused by dirt. It is not. Your oily skin is genetic for the most part. When you get items to cover "flaws" make sure they are made for oily skin. Try going to the mall and finding Clinique Cosmetics. Most of their skin care and makeup is for young people and/or people with oily skin. Why use a product that will just make your oil production and therefore "flaws" worse. Wherever you go always get products for oily skin even foundations and cover-ups for flaws should be for your specific skin type. If not they will only continue to clog your pores and over-produce oil. Finally if you want your makeup/power to stay on without oil causing it to separate or look bad, try coating the oily areas of your skin with a thin layer of Milk of Magnesia before applying your makeup. It's amazing how much oil that stuff soaks up! Hope you have many good skin days!

try using loose power instead of compressed powder. It will absorb more oil than what you are using now. Other than that you are in puberty so your skin is producing more oil than usual. It should calm down in a couple years. You could also try a foundation for oily skin to see if it helps. Also use a good toner after you've washed your face. It will tighten your pores and possibly leave your face less shiny for longer

Sometimes you just get oily. It sucks, but it happens. And, you're 15. You're supposed to be oily when you're 15. It's not about makeup. You need a good toner and an oil-absorbing moisturizer. Try Biore. Also, pat a teeny bit of clearasil or other zit gel around your t-zone. Even if you don't break out, it will keep you from shining.

It's probably the wrong moistuizer. You have to get a water based one made FOR oily skin. Go to the makeup countr at the larger dept stores and they should be able to help you pick one. As far as powder try Cornsilk made esp for oily skin. Also, get those Maybelline oil blotting papers.

Please don't use St.Ives apricot scrub! It contains ground up walnut shells that will scratch and irritate your skin. Go with something that contains jojoba beads instead for exfoliation. As for the oiliness, the moisturizer you are using might just be too rich. Check out an oil controlling moisturizer such as MAC oil control lotion. It's awesome!

Go to your local department store and talk to a qualified consultant. There are many skin types, and there are moisturisers that are specifically made for different kinds of skin tones. You need to be assessed as what kind of skin tone you have and get a moisturiser that suits your skin tone. It could be the moisturiser you are using now that is making your skin appear oily after a short time.

try just using a light layer of concealer and forgeting the powder. Then clean and clear makes these oil absorbant sheet that work really well. Get them and whipe your face with them every once in a while. Just find some concealer that matches your skin tone really well.

Good luck finding what works

I would not use moisturizer, just foundation and a light powder to seal it. If you get oily throughout the day, use powder, just lightly.

Don't use moisturizer. Wash your face with cleasers that are just for oily skin. Then some astrigent(Seabreeze Astrigent is really good). and that's it. Just carry some blots just in case. Good luck!

maybe the moisturizer is wrong for your skin type...if you have combination skin and use a moisturizer for oily that could be the problem...you should go have a professional facial...they will help you pick the best product for your skin type
