lol, just dress what you think is nice and respect what you wear. Who knows? Other people might respect it too. You could start your own trend ;)

I'm going to assume you are a girl. Go get a Cosmopolitan magazine. There are things you can throw together that will look great all the time (some solid items that you can use for multiple occasions) for maybe, $150-300 altogether. If that's too much, you can always go fishing at TJ Maxx and Marshalls, you'll find some good cheap, but often one or two seasons off clothes there. But hey, vintage is in now!

Yes, fashion is expensive. I recommend that you save up your money and invest into complete outfits rather than buying a shirt here and there so then you end up with a bunch of mismatched items.
Also, buy pieces that compliment other items in your wardrobe. For instance, select two of your favorite neutral colors and try buying mostly those colors. This way you will have multiple pieces that you can mix up with each other and you always match.
I have four dominate colors in my wardrobe. They are pink, brown, blue, and black.
When I find a shirt or pair of pants that I like and I'm not sure what color to get, I always fall back to my four basic colors. I can never go wrong this way and I always have a lot of accessories to choose from.
Hope this helps.

You must dress in colors that will compliment your skin and hair color....and dress for your shape of your body.
Check out any models or celebs that your body shape is like-and be honest with yourself-and try to immitate their look.
For instance, if you have a big chest and a small waist, I say, get something in the marilyn monroe type of fashion, open neckline, v neck tops, do skirts and cute shoes.
If you are long and lean like Paris Hilton, you can wear long lean jeans with tiny tank tops.
Go to high end department stores, check out the expensive stuff-then get the same type of look at somewhere more inexpensive, or wait till the dept stores have sales or go to stores like Ross, Marshall's or TJ Maxx, designer names for less.

Me too! Leggins under jean skirts look cute. Layered is in. Try Hollister, Old Navy, or Aeropostale. I feel the exact same way. Some things are expenxive but they don't have to be. Try Marshelle's or Ross. Go to Claire's for jewelry. Big bangels, layered necklaces, and teardrop earrings are in. Tight jeans are in. Also, skinny jeans are in, but I don't like them. I'm not sure if they're in, but I'm going to try to wear the Uggs again. I wonder if they'll be in. Good luck!

the styles of the moment are skinny jeans and leggings and wide belts and tunics.... however, many people already HAVE leggings, so i would go with the other things to try to be original. i already have the skinny jeans, though. a good place to buy a pair is pacsun.com

Why do you have to dress for other people, dress for yourself. Beauty should come from within not the outside.
