He was supposed to have married Miranda Ellis played by Laura Harris.
She found an earring that wasn't hers and thought Stillson was cheating on her and she went to Johnny's house. Someone took pictures of her leaving his house, making it look like they were having an affair.
Stillson told Janus to take care of it.
Malcolm Janus played by Martin Donovan, had snake venom put onto the earrings and Stillson gave them to her right before the wedding explaining he had lost one of them (the one she found) any way, she put them on and died from the poison which looked like she had suffered a heart attack.
