What helps me most is not to let what they say get to me. If you like yourself the way you are, you seriously wouldnt care what they think.

As you mature and evolve in life you will come to the understanding that you have no control over what people think, but you do have control over you. Our most sacred responsiblity in life is to take care of ourselves and this is not self centered. If you are psycholgoically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually bankrupt you have a difficult time making a difference in the world which is what we are all here to do.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

I don't think that u can stop caring about waht people say unless u have self confidence and u do the right. This way u won't alot care about what people say but sure there will be a part that cares coz we live among people and we care about the sayings that touch us wether they r bad or good sayings.

Growing up and living in the real world.

Iam not trying to sound mean. But its the truth. Its only when you live in a tiny social invironment such as an office or school that you think it matters what people think.

Once you get out of that and live in real life you dont care of have time for such concerns.

I totally agree with amosunknown. You get older and you just don't care anymore. You look at the high school girls at the mall and feel sorry for them...they're trying so hard and trying to look cute just to walk around the mall. It is really sad and kinda embarrassing. I wish I felt this way about myself when I was in middle school and high school.

You can start by living your life for yourself and not other people. You need to realize that those people will not be around you forever.

Right now you should vow to be the best you that you can be. Be good and do good things. God made you special and you should feel good being you. Try to always make good healthy choices. I wish you much happiness!

Every individual grows up with their own set of beliefs and perceptions. If we think they misunderstood us, don't let it affect us. No one is right or wrong, its just that we think differently.

For instance, I'm pretty fleshy..but not fat I feel but some people will give me comments like I'm quite fat or fatter. I don't get bothered as there's always another group of people who thinks i'm slim or just nice.

I hate to sound like the old fuddie duddie here, but you should care what people think of you. After all, the one thing you have that you and you alone contribute to is your reputation and what mark you may or may not leave on mankind.

when i went to middle school, there was always all this pressure to fit in, and look like everyone else, so i tried to, and was always worrying about what ppl thought about me
when i went to high school, i finally stopped- i realized that no matter how weird i dress and how much ill experiment with my style, theres always going to be someone who looks 10 times crazier than me, so now, im not scared of what ppl are going to think of my latest outfit
so, just realize that 1. theres always going to be someone looking way stranger than you, and chances are that ppl are going to be talking about them, and not you 2. ppl should like you for who you are, and not how you dress/look (altho this isnt always the case)
good luck
