In most states, at 16, you are still a minor whether you have a child or not. The only way you can legally move out is to get emancipated. To do that, you must prove that you make enough money to live on your own, to support yourself and your child, and that your parents do not have your best interest at heart. I suggest you talk to an attorney as most will give you an initial consult for free. However, you would be wise to stay with your parents until you are an adult and of legal age. Your parents have your best interests at heart and, if they dislike your boyfriend, they probably have a good reason for it. You don't see it now but, years from now, you probably will understand their rationale.

at 16 you're still a minor giving birth doesn't veto you from your childhood.
Emancipation of minors is a legal mechanism through which a person below the age of majority gain certain civil rights, generally identical to those of adults. An emancipated minor is free of any authority from his or her parent or other legal guardian. The extension of these rights, as well as the remaining prohibitions, vary according to the jurisdiction.
In most countries of the world, adolescents below the legal age of majority may be emancipated somehow: through marriage, economic self-sufficiency, educational degree/diploma or pregnancy.
In some cases, parental consent is needed to achieve the "emancipated" status. In some cases, court permission is necessary.

This is a question for family court.
In NY State, you are still subject to your parents authority till age 18. However you can petition the court for emancipation.
But get ready to get a job and show that you are responsible or you will loose your baby and placed into a foster type care.

You do have the right to move out. Your lucky. You are at the perfect age to move out. First of all is my question here. You are pregnant? You are 16? You are pregnant? K just kidd'in. Well your parents can't keep you from the father if you move out. At least I think. Well it's ok. What is it like to be pregant. I mean without the fighting, cramps, and parents telling you things. What is it like? Just curious.

Having a baby doesn't make you an emancipated minor. Your parents are still your parents. They could still tell you not to see the baby's dad, but being that you are having a child together that would be kind of silly. You can try to get yourself emancipated if you can prove you can support yourself/the baby.

Of course you can, whether it is legal or not is a different question, but at 16 you should stick with mom and dad grow up then go find the father and see if you want a relationship.

Check your state's laws on that. Some places consider you an adult when you give birth ( if your a minor), Other times you can go to court and file for you to be your own guardian but you would have to prove you can handle adult responsibility's such as a job, your own place, provide for you and the baby.

In Fl you are considered an emancipated minor and can move out. I did that at 15. You might want to call a local court house and find out to make sure, someone could tell you yes and they could be wrong and get you and your boyfriend in some big trouble.

It depends on what state you live in but in most states you can move out legally. But the parents are another issue: they have custody over their child(ren) until the child(ren) are 18. The laws are rather complex and hard to explain since they can get and are very confusing.
