Because the "removing a dictator" argument just doesn't wash does it?

That will never happen. Our Senators and our Representives should do everything they can to bring this administration to justice. The past cannot be changed what's done is done. We can as a country turn this fiasco into something positive and start acting like the Americans we want to be and stop acting like a bunch of gutless wannabes. Vote for canidates you think will make us proud of America again and not for the same thugs who have disgraced this country for the last 5 years.

No apologies, that would be admitting to wrong-doing. Something the current administration is not going to do, even if they should.
The lies are being uncovered on a daily basis. Maybe the truth is finally catching up to Bush's lies. It's just Karma.
If Bush really wanted to remove a dictator, he would take himself out of office. Which won't happen either. Dang!

It's a valid reason to invade, at least from an imperialist military perspective. So, whether we agree with it or not, yes the US had at least a colorable argument justifying the initial invasion.

Staying there two years after "Mission Accomplished" is another story, and there's just no excuse for outright blind stupidity.

The US govt will only apologize after a democratic President comes to power. There is no empathy in the current administration. Just scared little boys with death dealing toys.

Didn't Saddam sign a conditional surrender saying that he would comply with the UN orders? And if he did not the war would resume?
