When searching for a mate why do men say in their 40-50 only want a woman that is 28-38?

Because they are the best looking women, yes I know, it is a cliche, and also because they are at their sexual peak.

Not all of them are like that. True many are. But what you need to do is this. Make a list of every quality that you want in a man and settle for nothing less. Believe me it works. I did it! Oh, what's the catch you ask...you must have the same qualities yourself! When both want to give and make the other happy, while first being happy themselves, you have a formula for success.
Ignore all those loosers you've been finding and then you'll find the great guys were there all along but you didn't notice them.

Find a woman 28-38 years old willing to stand before you in the nude.

Because women in that age bracket still have a sense of pride ,
They also have a sex drive .
Women in their 50`s and older are going through " The Change " .They have diminished sex drives and are letting themselves go .If a man is going to marry and support a woman ,he at least should be attracted to her .Older women don`t really want to cuddle or talk anymore ,they just want to be OLD.A lot of divorces happen when women are going through their CHANGE.Its Scary ,I`ve witnessed it .

I believe that it's a preference that men have.. some men like women they own age however, the ones that wants younger women feel like these women keep them young.
Older women probably complain too much, about feeling tired, not in the mood for sex, etc. Not all older women, just some of them.

It makes them feel young, and if you were a 50 year old man, would you choose a 50 year old woman or a 38 or younger woman,, think about it.

Older man almost always want younger women, usually because they are still fertile. Even if they don't want to have children, men are attracted to features that suggest fertility.
On top of this, women tend to want older men who have money and stability.

Because they are a bunch of jerks..Older women will not put up with the b.s. half of these nuts try to pull and they have no resort but to get a nieve bimbo for sex who doesn't know her a from her elbow..Why waste your time..Pull a Demi Moore and get yourself an Ashton Kusher..Who wants an old S.O.B. who probably suffers from erectile dysfunction in their bed anyway? If I was a women in my 40 to 50 I would want a man that was 20.
doesn't mean I will get one but that is what I would want.
they look better than old people. If he gets one then he must have money.

Because they want to catch a woman before the bitterness of being alone has set in, and it seems to set in around 40.
