I think you are asking - what is probability of rolling doubles once in three rolls? Like if you are playing Monopoly, and stuck in jail, what are the odds you don't have to pay to get out.

Anyway, you have a 1/6 chance of rolling a double once
That makes a 5/6 chance of not rolling doubles
In three rolls, you have a (5/6)^3 chance of never rolling doubles, and so a 1-(5/6)^3 chance of rolling doubles by the third roll

1-(5/6)^3 = 91/216

the best way to approach this is to work with the complementary event of no double appearing in three rolls.

if you mean rolling two dice (dice is a plural), there is a 1/6 chance of getting doubles on a single roll. the chance of no double on a single roll is then 5/6 and the chance of no double on three consecutive rolls is then (5/6)³. so the chance of a double by the third roll is 1 - (5/6)³.

if you mean rolling one die (the singular of dice) and a "double" means the same number comes up twice during the three rolls, you can figure the chance of no double in three rolls this way:

first roll can be anything - probability of any outcome appearing is 1.

the next roll has to be different to avoid a double - chance for a different outcome on the second roll is 5/6. the third roll has to be different from the first two - chance of that is 4/6.

so the probability of no double is 1x(5/6)x(4/6) = 5/9.

then the chance of a double by the third roll is 1 - 5/9 = 4/9.

0 because if yoru just rolling one dice then you cnat get a double. if you were rolling 2 die it would be a 1 sixth chance because out of the 36 die rolled, with 6 ways to get doubles each time, it would be 6 in 36 chance, simplify that ands its 1 in 6.
