Tell him that a "friend", coming from him, is a euphemism for "you've lost that lovin' feeling," and ask him what part of "boy toy" he doesn't understand.

It depends on what kind of feelings you have for him. If you would be able to handle being his friend and seeing him with another, then by all means, go for it. Also, just remember, he is your friend too and that means that he will also have to see you with another. But, if you have deep feelings for this man, then I would have to say to let him go. Remember the saying, "If you love something, set it free", that's what I would have to do for my own sanity. Kat

if he really was a good friend he wouldn't lead you on then hurt you would he?
i had one like that who basically wanted his cake and eat it too
a clean break was the result (and i have no regrets to this day on the clean break issue with a cheater)
