Dont mention anything to do with zelda, mario or pokemon. i already own or have beat the good ones.
i have all the Final Fantasy games that i want at this point in time.
im looking for something on XBOX, PS2 or Gamecube.
i want something i can get lots of hours out of. i dont want a stradegy game.
things i like in a game: Gore, Profanity, anything vulgar, guns and knives, i really love stealthy games. i own the whole hitman series.
any ideas?

If you haven't played Resident Evil 4, what the hell are you waiting for? It was rated game of the year in 2004 for a reason.
EDIT: Max Payne 2 is a great game and it should be pretty cheap by now. Get the Xbox version if you have a choice.

All the Ratchet & Clank games. They have all the guns you can ask for. They've got everything from bombs to rocket launchers to flame throwers. Awesome.
Gun. Has an old west feel to it, but not the 'old west' that John Wayne potrayed. This game is down and dirty. I loved it.
Dead to Rights was also an awesome game. Basically, your two weapons of choice are your guns and your dog. And believe me, that dog kicks a**.
Oh, and these games don't involve guns but do have plenty of action: Lord of the Rings the Two Towers & the Return of the King. If you hate strategy avoid the Third Age, becasue that's pretty much all it is.

There are lots of good games that I can recommend. I've decided to list them.
1. You could get Halo or Halo 2 for the Xbox. Those games are fantastic and have guns in them. They also offer plenty of replay value
2. The Kingdom Hearts games for the PS2 are also fantastic. You can get tons of hours of gameplay out of them. They are RPGs.
3. The last series of games I would recommend is Grand Theft Auto, especially GTA: San Andreas for the PS2. It is probably the best choice. It definitely fits all the requirements listed in your second-to-last paragraph.

Don't bother spending a bunch of money on a new game. Trade in your old games to earn points with which you can get another game for 1 buck. Found this new website that opened a couple of months ago and I've been using it pretty regularly - www.goozex.com
works great and you save a ton of money!

To me the best games in existance right now is:
Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, Bloodrayne and Bloodrayne 2.
I know they ain't too up to date. But if you never played them before then im sure you'll like em.
