At 8:07, the beginning of the clocks in "Time" are exactly in line with the Wicked Witch coming in on her bike. That's just creepy. Otherwise the only time when it seems jynked is when Gilmour goes "Waiting for someone or something to show you the way" and Todo jumps out of the basket and runs down the road right in synch with the lyrics at 10:40-10:45.

Of course they say it wasn't planned but that clip is too convincing to ignore.

I have found this amazing. The original LP had a ray of black and white going into the prism coming out color and then turning into black and white. The movie starts black and white goes to color and then ends in black and white. I read somewhere that Pink Floyd dedicated this album to the man who died during the production of the Wizard of Oz. They recorded the album at a studio that the recording room also doubled as a movie viewing room. There are rumors of other movies matching up with Floyd albums as well.

The Wall with Disney's Alice in Wonderland
2001: A Space Odessey with Wish You Were Here
2001: A Space Odessey with Ummagumma
Yellow Submarine with Relics
Blade Runner with Wish You Were Here
Contact with Echoes from Meddle
I have also found talk of Wish You Were Here with It's a Wonderful Life and Animals with Ben-Hur

No, there are several points where the music and the movie are in sync. There is a film that combines the two called "Dark Side of the Rainbow". I'm not really sure where you can get it, you may be able to do an internet search an find it. It's pretty neat.

Not a coincidence or planning from Pink Floyd to Wizard of Oz because...

Dorothy doesn't want "Money"
The Thin Man wanted a heart, not a "Breathe" and "Breathe Reprise"
The Lion doesn't wanted to be "On the Run"
The Scarecrow wanted a brain, not a "Brain Damage"
I doubt The Witch travel on "The Great Gig In The Sky"

Any more questions? lol

i have done this at home and found other syncronous events..i do not think it was planned because the album only goes through about 1/2 of the movie..so to me why not make the album the full length of the movie if that is what they were trying to do??...but there are many cool sync ups during the first playing of the cd...it is cool to debate it though..

I'm a nobody musician, but I've been around the block.
All of this is doubtful, because the music would have been crap if that was all they were trying to do. And they just happened to make one of the best rock lps of all time. It's just not that easy.

It only looks planned if you recently ingested shrooms.

I can't see Roger et al. sitting around saying "Hey, lets make an album that matched TWOZ".
