Ive been working at an afterschool daycare center run by the local city govt for almost 2 years. My supervisor is ona maternaty leave and her boss who ussually doesnt come there cause he supervises a larger organization has been there 3 times in the past week with 2 other coordinators bitching about everything that is wrong with the building and the park even though he put someone else there to take her place while she's out. They came there with a camera and took pictures of everything that they think is wrong with the center like there making some kind of case to fire my boss or possibly everyone that works there. He actually told us that the staff and the KIDS need to go outside and pick up trash off the ground even though the park is not or responsibility and he fired or janitor 1 yr. ago and promised to hire a new 1. he has bipolar disorder so he is scary sometimes. i really enjoy working there but i dont need the money for it cause i have another full time job should i quit?

the kids did not have to clean up the trash i did it while they were inside eating and he doesnt work around the kids if he did i think he would scare them. i think my best choice may be to talk to someone at the human resources department for the city and see what they can do about it without me risking my own neck trying to stand up to him.

Why would you decide whether you wanted to quit based on one single piece of work you've written? I'm not going to judge you based on that. Even if your writing sucks, you could always write some more and make it better. Based on what I read, you're not a bad writer. I like your wordplay in the second paragraph. The formatting is really annoying, though. Do you mean this to be a poem or prose, or what? Your punctuation needs some work, though it's not terrible. Quit if you're so inclined, but don't base it on others' opinion of you.

I would stick around, you don't need the money but you like working there, that means alot. I work at a daycare and there are a couple people there just for a job. to work at a daycare, you need to care about the kids which it sounds like you do. Since you don't need the job if they let everyone go, at least you already have another job.

No. Stay there. Don't let the crazy people in the city ruin your community for everyone else. Be a trooper and since you know he is bipolar, why would you let him even effect your life. It is good you are concerned, maybe you will allow your civic position to grow for the greater good.

maybe you should report that boss to his boss and tell the situation.im not big on tattling, but these bi-polar people really piss me off. i know too many who take their medication till their ok and then quit. i dont think they realize they are reverting back, but they do, and then become a problem for everyone around them. if you dont need the money, youve got nothing to lose anyway, and maybe you could help others out.

No dont quit, just ride it out and see what happens. Especially sense you enjoy it there. It may just be a temporary thing but if it isn't then just make sure you have a back up plan. Good luck

Stay where you are for the time being cause you sound like you really like the kids, but i suggest you keep your eyes and ears open. If anything happens you'll know what to do. Its called gut instinct.

Bipolar and he's involved with children!?!?! If he indeed does have bipolar disorder he needs to be reported to authorities IMMEDIATELY!!!

Quit and report him! And if that doesn't work, go to the news media! GET HIM AWAY FROM THOSE CHILDREN!!!
