While a few bytes are sent every so often even when your connection is idle, it shouldn't be many and it shouldn't be constant. The first thing you should do is disconnect and run a full adware/spyware/virus check on your system. Next check your router and make sure it is secured against anyone else using it other than you. This is usually done with a WEP key, which stops anyone without the key logging onto your network.

we want extra information. After it has timed out and also you hover the mouse over the connections icon (close to the clock), does it say "nearby purely" or does it say you're literally not at the moment appropriate? research the IP your pc has, is it one from the router or is it a default set by technique of homestead windows? some routers do no longer respond to tries to connect that fail, a incorrect bypass key for instance. it is to resign them being discovered by technique of people searching for wifi bins to hack into. This for homestead windows will be a timeout, because it despatched the request and were given no longer some thing again. you want to be sure the safe practices of the gadget matches the safe practices of your pc. i'd hardwire to the container again, look into the browser interface of your wifi router, then examine the safe practices settings. you do not opt to modify safe practices off, you kust opt to set your homestead windows to an similar. some homestead routers contain a button (contained in the web interface) to export settingd for homestead windows. there are assorted techniques to attempt this so it truly is frustrating to be particular until eventually you let us know what wifi router you're utilising.

That's just the packets that are being sent. Usually it is only due to maintaining the connection...unless you are surfing the web or downloading files.
