If there was one thing you actively do to change your world for the better what would that be?

I help children when time permits who are poor by fixing and restoring toys to give to them here in the US for the spouse abuse centers, some charities, some poor people and send them to Mexico to the poor Indians who live where my relatives live. I also help children in my family with learning to read who have learning disabilities and other children from time to time for fee, using my own money to pay for the gas. I have health problems. It may not be much but it is something that makes me feel good about my contributions to the world to make it a better place. But I am sure all of you do other things and have better ideas to help improve our world all over. Thanks for your input I would like to think up more. I do help at a Charity occassionally locally when I can.

For no fee for free I do not charge often I buy books etc. to help them also.

If i could do one thing (and i do do this), i try to help 2 people a day. If everyone that is helpd helps anohter two people, and they do this each day justonce, within 30 something days (2 to the 30th power), the whole population of the world will be reached. But to do this, we have to learn to help those that we may not communicate with as easily in this world, and that would include people of different races, religions, and ethincities, and orientations... etc...

This in itself is one of hte best things; break the barrier between different groups, and be wiling to become friendlly with other groups.

What you do sounds really cool. I also focus mostly on children, because I have so much compassion for them: they're vulnerable, and they have their whole lives ahead of them. I've done all sorts of things, but my favorite things have involved spending one-on-one time with children who need more love in their lives. I remember being that type of child, so I can relate to them, and I know that even one hour a week with a safe, loving person means so much to them. I have also volunteered in a local free medical clinic. That was very, very rewarding. I am planning to be a doctor, and I didn't know that there was so much need for doctors to help people without a way of getting medical help. So when I get my MD, I want to continue working as a doctor through a local clinic like that.
Some things I do are smaller, but they're still important to me. Like I buy clothes for my two little cousins (ages 1 and 3, both girls), because their father is in college and their mother stays home with them, so they can't afford to buy enough clothes. Every time I visit them, and I see that they're playing in a dress I got them, I feel happy, like I really am making a difference for them.
That's cool that you can fix toys! I've never met anyone who knew how to do that. I think that every child should have at least one really soft, cuddly stuffed animal.

I see your doing wonderful "works", but, are you "saved"?

Thats what I would be doing, spreading the Word as I do on this thing, and hope that some may heed it, and come to CHRIST.

To "boast" of my "works", would only give me the accolation of man. I dont need it, I do my works secretly, so that only the LORD knows of it, and will reward me.
