No, there is nothing strange. Incidents reported are unfairly spread over the entire Atlantic Ocean as far as Iceland. And also the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico.

There is something about the confluence of the north magnetic pole, with the north geographical pole ( they are not the same), that causes some navigators to confuse their compass readings.

There is another area like this in the vicinity of the Philippines.

Almost all of the "mysterious incidents" involving "Bermuda Triangle" have been rationally explained by Lloyd's of London and other insurance investigations.

In other words, the entire B.T. thing is a colossal MYTH.

According to a theory by geologist Dr Ben Clennell, the disappearance of ships and aircraft could be caused by giant bubbles of methane gas erupting from the 10,000m deep ocean bed, thus reducing the density of the water-sinking ships and when a plane flew into the huge and combustible methane cloud the aircrafts engines would explode and cause it to crash. He opined that the gas was created by bacteria.I hope this goes some way toward satisfying your curiosity.

no. the reason why boats and planes go missing is because of methane gas. in early airplanes, the engines were not made to resist this gas so it got in the engines and screwed up the controlls thats why the planes went down. and the reason for ships sinking are huge air bubbles going to the surface of the ocean. they flip the ships over and they sink. its a proven fact. they have a documentry about it on the discovery channel i think. its actually kinda cool.

Despite popular belief, the United States Coast Guard and other agencies cite statistics indicating that the number of incidents involving lost ships and aircraft is no larger than that of any other heavily-traveled region of the world.

WHat do you mean by that? WHat I heard was that there was methane gas in the bermuda triangle, which explains the ships and planes wreckages.

It's a huge Caribbean underwater Cat that can't resist the ships over it and smacks them down and around until they sink.
