As a teacher of eight years, the "three Rs" have changed. Instead of reading, writing, and arithmetic, the "three R's" are relevance, rigor, and relationships. "Out" is the bell curve and "in" is accountability. I hope this helps....

The 3 R's at my school stand for Rigor, Relevence and Results...and believe me, they are all VERY present!!!

Well, to tell you the truth. The 3R's went out the door so that all the testing and NCLB could happen.

really, you should say, well, the three R's were never really all r's....

but what happened to them? they are now referred to as literature, english, and math....you still learn them in every grade in every school you attend...
