It might be very worth it to stay open 24/7 if your location is on an exit of a major expressway system.'

Heck yea. think about it. Some people go to the casino knowing that if they lose all of there money they cant get gas, So at 2am on there way home they get gas with their last 5 dollars. How many people needed gas on there way home from work at 1230a. Or even a snack. All gas stations sell something that most people need in an emergency. Condoms, cigs, you name it. 24hrs is the best. What about slushies. Hell yea slushies the top reason to have a 24hr gas station drinks.

There are two factors - one can be measured, one cannot.
The present owner should be able to provide you with at least a shift if not an hour receipt log. It will tell you if you would have sufficient profit during those hours..
The second factor is harder. It is the goodwill question. How big is your service area? Will being open 24 hrs. be something people notice and remember? Getting into people's minds is key and 24 / 7 may be one way in your community / location.

Well, having a gas station open for 24 hrs. You have more responsibility dealing with problems. I would agree to your plans to close it at 12 midnight.Good luck to your business venture.

Depends on the Location, Location, Location! Is there enough traffic/customers there to make profit during thoses hours.

what is the profit benefit? are you going to see real returns between those hours in comparison to the cost of personnel and utilities? If you see a substantial profit ... sure. But if no, why bother.

Do the math and the answer should present itself to you.

Good luck
