Just build stamina now because its much more than just running.

I would go where there is grass and is a safe place and pace off about 200 steps in a straight line. Mark it. Then go back and run intervals. First warm up. Afterward, run your 200 yard course almost all out, maybe 3/4 speed, then jog back. As soon as you get back to the start, take off again at 3/4 speed. Then rest a day. Next day do the interval training the same. Then rest a day. Next day do the 200 run again, twice. So that week you will have run three times. Gradually but slowly build up until you can run 11 intervals without stopping. Again, an interval is almost all out at 3/4 speed, then turn around and jog back to the start, then turn around and go almost all out, then turn around and jog back, then...
After the first week then alternate the interval training with some easy scenic jogs that are relaxing. You don't want to train hard two days in a row. Hard - easy - hard - easy.

Remember that training is only one corner of the triangle of athletic success. Sleep and nutrition are the other two corners. Quality sleep, and quality nutrition, and quality training make the superior athlete. I was an All American runner who trained monstrously hard, slept nine hours per night, and ate like a
horse -- the three corners of athletic success.

hey... here is some friendly advice from a high school and college soccer player.... build your running schedule according to your stamina... i.e. run a mile and sprint the last 1/4 of it every day for a week... then run a mile and 1/2 and sprint the last quarter.... since you have untill spring i would suggest also pickiing up a soccer ball and begin learning how to drive the ball as well as dribble ( control with your feet)
