If you owe money pay what you owe, and you'll get your stuff back. If not, get a police escort, go over, and get your stuff.

it depends on how long your landlord has held this personal belongings. If it has been over a month.. regardles how much contact etc. the objects can be sold as abandoned regardless how many messages you left. IF you never spoke to them in person and have proper proof you spoke to them and that they said it was fine to leave behind etc. The former landlornd should not have with held your stuff unless you owed money which if you owe money legally they can sell your things even personal belongings such as pictures etc to pay for any rent or partial rent that is due to them.

If your lease was up and you left things in the apartment, the landlord has the right to dispose of them as he sees fit.

It depends on if you owe him a balance., more than likely if you owe a balance you better see what your lease says.. Some Owners are really tired of the old song and dance of not paying rent , that they have worded the lease in their favor...

Take a police standby to his house. Have a list and if possible receipts for your belongings. The other alternative is small claims court.
