My hot tub does not get hot enough. The light on the heater does not come on. Anybody have any tips for me? Everything else is fine, jets, pump, and breakers are not tripped. Thank you. If you think you know what the problem is can you explain how to fix it?

If you would open an email or a IM program I could try to help, with not enough information to go on, I would say to call someone to fix it.

There's a number of things it could be.
1/ Faulty thermostat or thermostat bulb ( no not a light bulb, it is the sensor) This can be fixed by a handy person, by seeing if it completes the circuit and calls for heat when the thermostat is turned up.
2/ Faulty high or low limit switch. This also can be tested by a handyman with an electrical tester. It should allow current through. If it doesn't, it's toast.
3/ Faulty pressure switch. The switch should be in the closed position electrically, when the pump is on. Testing with an elcetrical tester should show current going through it. If it's not, check your filter to see if it needs cleaning and check the tube running to the actual switch. It may be clogged. The pressure swith itself may be history. All of this requires an especially handy, handy person.
4/ The heating element may be shot. You're dealing with high voltage here, get a pro in. If it needs replacement, you're better off leaving it to him.

It could be the switch itself, the thermostat, or the heating element. You'll need a multimeter to check all three, to verify which is the problem.

At this point, I'd advise you to call a technician in to look at it. Try someplace that sells spas.

Good Luck!

You probably need a new heating element. Call the company you bought it from and have a technition replace it. Unless you are very mechanical this something you don't want to tackle.
