No, she could just be showing support for the gay community. Just because a girl does not meet what society terms to be feminine does not mean she is a lesbian either. As for the cartilage piercing, that doesn't mean anything either.

No, I wouldn't. That would be liking assuming that someone wearing a certain university sweatshirt actually attends that institution. The rainbow is a symbol for the lgbt community, but it is certainly enjoyed by everyone else! I don't think the piercing is any indication either. Again, it could be construed as something a "stereotypical" soft butch would wear, but can't be limited to just that.
How does she act around women, does she have a girlfriend....does she wear clothing that says "I love lesbians...." If she does then, and only then, could you directly assume she was a lesbian based on what she was wearing.
My advice....?
Ask her.

I wouldn't think it would but then again I feel the years of males wearing earrings and being branded as gay was over so I would think it be the same for women but I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time I was out of the loop.
Note: I have 3 earrings and in the left ear

It depends. Girls wear lots of jewelry, and many like rainbows despite the symbol. If she's very knowledgeable about the symbol, hmm, yeah, probably that or bi or straight supporter. Body piercing is all over the map. Means nothing. Sorry, you've found no real answer there.

Not necessarily. It would take more than the earrings alone. Rainbows could stand for "straight but not narrow" (so a supporter)

Yes. I would think she was a lesbian or bi. It doesn't necessarily mean that she is, but I would certainly feel more comfortable asking her out.
