Nope...NUN! They're trying to figure out how to bring a dental plan to Nashville without going broke. You need to head to a Yankee town like Boston or New York to find a good "chest" game.

Yes, older ones especially. You know the stereotypical old man sitting on the porch of the country store playing checkers? Well, it's actually almost as likely to be chess. I was really surprised when I found that out. Of course, this is West Virginia rednecks, might be different elsewhere.

It depends on your definition of a redneck, but the fact of the matter is that where you are born or raised does not predict whether you will learn something or not but it depends on the individual person.

Also, when "rednecks" say "chest" we are talking about a piece of furniture, not the game that is called "chess".

Yes, My older brother, who is as redneck as they come, used to be a nerd and member of the chess club.

Oh, and he doesn't call it 'chest' FYI.

Actually, my uncle is a redneck but he's also very intelligent (I know, sounds like an oxymoron!) and he loves to play chess (chest?) with his sons.
