Light as a feather stiff as a board. Light as a feather stiff as a board.
No really. From what I understand it is very possible, and is usually achieved through a familiar spirit. people who can do this are usually into some form of craft from what I know of it. I wouldn't necessarily condone seeking this out, but the choice is yours. I've done a little research into the occult and spiritual war type stuff, but I am by no means any kind of expert. I don't practice it. I just like to know what's out there...... Morbid curiosity I guess. I hope this answer helps

Think on this. Everyone focuses on gravity which is the problem
they SEE in facing this idea of Levitation as a physical phenomenon. Thus, they come to believe that some kind of anti-gravity is the actual solution. Silly mortals!
The opposite of Gravity is Levity. In both Mary Poppins, and Charlie
and the Chocolate Factory films, this appears to be axiomatic. But
they were just fantasies, Right?
And what exactly are Levitation and Human flight without mechanics: In essence, Dreams; that like powered flight not long ago, just have not come to fruition yet in the collective mind of Mankind on earth. Fantasy.
Before levitating or flying this way, there seems to be another axiom intimately associated with the activity you should be familiar with and that is; When they Know you can Do it, they Will kill you.
Since the time of Jesus, and probably before, holy men and women, saints, and mystics who knew these secrets have been martyred, murdered, and generally harassed to death. It may be this collective
"gene" memory that prevents many people today from even trying.
Consider yourself advised.

Seriously, there is no such thing as levitation except via tricks, which look like levitation, but aren't. Hence the term "trick." OK, wait. Using a complex design of magnets one could conceivably levitate. They have managed to make a levitating bed, held down by a set of cables, so perhaps some sort of magnetic suit and a magnetic room, you could be held suspended in the middle. That's a lot of magnets though.

Yes, people who are training to go to space are taken up to about 30,000 feet in a specially built cargo plane, when it noses down and dives, the people inside experience weightlessness for a minute or so.
Other than that, there is no way to defy gravity. Criss Angel and other illusionists like him make it look very real, but it is just an illusion, albeit a very good one.

Actually, there is a theoretical way. It involves incredibly strong magnetic forces. People assume that magnets only act on other magnets or ferrous metals, but those are just things most sensitive to magnetic force.
Scientists in the Netherlands actually freely levitated a live frog using this technique: http://www.hfml.ru.nl/froglev.html

Yeah, go into a freefall and it will be just like levitating until you hit the ground.
Wait, you mean defy gravity, the most basic law in the universe? HAHAHA no.

in earth, not without any support. i'm thinking sticking a magnetic plate on your butt and a strong magnetic field to counter it. voila! also, you can go into one of those airplanes that simulate zero gravity. you can also go to the moon perhaps, but you wont be able to sustain what might look like levitation to you.
