Yes, it's for both parents. It's not 1950 anymore. They even let the fathers in the delivery room, too.
Wedding showers are for the women, baby showers are for both.

It's a personal choice - if you feel comfortable him being there, I do not see why not., what you may tell your girlfriends is that they can bring their partners if they want. Many women, leave their partners out of this event, and I personally, do not agree as the baby shower is not about you, is about a child that you and him share together, and if he wants to be there, I would feel flattered that he wants to be part of every event in your pregnancy, why would you turn away a man who is so involved. Do you have any idea how many men do not care to be part of anything event when their wife's/girlfriends are pregnant, so if he wants to be there, feel lucky and love that man, because he is showing you that he is not only there for the baby, but for you as well, and you should share that to with all your loved ones., show them just how much you takes care for you and your baby... good luck..

the question is does he want to? if so, why not let him. the thing is I don't know many men who want to be in a room full of women for an entire afternoon discussing episiotomies labor pains and breastfeeding and then enduring the dreaded baby shower games.
A modern choice is to do a couples shower. That way the guys can go their separate ways if one of the hostesses pulls out a twelve pack of toilet paper.

My cousin had a co-ed baby shower. The men did a BBQ, and for one of the games they put alcoholic beverages in baby bottles and had the men get down on there knees to drink.. It was Hilarious and one of the most fun baby showers I've ever been to! So yes he can!

Sure!!!!!!! I had a co-ed baby shower. We invited my friends and his too. Guys may not know to buy, but, they have a tendency to very enthusiastic about buying for a new baby. Make sure that you are registered at at least one place. this will make it easier for everyone shopping for your new addition and cut down on you having to return duplicate items for exchange. Make sure that the father is included in the games as well. ( his friends will really get into the spirit of things). Have fun - this will probably be the last party you attend for awhile.

Sure. More and more baby showers are becoming couples showers. The guys may not stay for the whole thing, but they are invited.
Some have the guys going off to bowl, paintball, or other "guy stuff" and return for the food. Guys coming back for food - who'd a believed that one? :-)

Usually baby shower's are for women, but why not? My fiance came to my baby shower and it was a success. He is the one who supported me throughout everything and he stands by me no matter what, so why can't he be there to celebrate the whole "baby shower" experience? This is his baby too!! Knock yourself out and have him there!!

Currently that is in style. Old school showers are ladies only, but if you are going to invite the father, invite other men. Unless he is a sissy type, then by all means, he will be right at home.

i'm having yet another toddler bathe - I in no way understood why that's basically for 1st little ones because all little ones deserve an equivalent social gathering. I had 2 with my first, and one with the others. I in no way requested for any of them, an analogous friends were round in the technique all of them and they have continuously all attended. women persons LOVE little ones and declaring "Aww" "Ohh" at each ingredient offered. The previous custom of having surely one toddler bathe is slowly fading away. delight on your second, enable your associates and mom throw you a bath. do not say something cruel for your mom in regulation, yet deliver her an invitation. If she would not come, know that you probably did the right ingredient with the help of inviting her and it truly is as a lot as her to attend.

it's your baby shower! you can do whatever you want with it!
besides.......my baby shower was 80% guys anyways. it was great because the guys have no idea what to really get for your baby...so they get exactly what you want from the baby registry. girls....they go straight for the baby clothes. lol!
besides, in my case, most of my friends are my husbands friends too. so he came over and we all had a grand time!
