My wife and I have had this running joke about that. I won't let her take out insurance on me so she won't be able to afford to bury me.

I might take out the policy, but I'd make sure that I would put the killing on hold for a while so it doesn't look too bad. Also, I wouldn't take out a huge policy, as that would raise suspeccion anyway. I'd have to make it for less than 1/4 m. I'd also make sure to wait at least 8 mts

The insurance policy would be the single greatest piece of circumstantial evidence supporting a motive for the murder.

And doing that would just tack on a case of insurance fraud to the indictment...

For me personally, if I was going to kill my spouse she would have had to do something horrendous, like cheat on me. No, I would not take out a policy because my goal is not money it is revenge. I would tell you how I would go about whacking the tramp but it is so good I do not want anyone else to attempt it. So for future reference, if you end up will Bill Cordova, do, not, cheat.

If I had all my other ducks in a row, like mortgage insurance, bills paid, home-owner's insurance, health insurance, insurance on myself it would look strange not to have some insurance on my spouse.

Although, I would make my children the beneficiaries so it would look like I didn't think he'd die til they were grown.

I don't believe in murder, sorry.

And no, I would not take out an insurance policy. That's just asking for trouble.
