It is a boy riding a dolphin in bronze, mounted on a green marble appearing base.

The signature is "GEMITO" stamped in capital letters. No other markings.

It weighs 15 lbs. 9" tall. The base is 7" across and 1.5" high.

I have searched the name. I found Gemito but I can't find any referance to this piece.

It is a piece by Italian Sculptor Vincenzo Gemito called "Boy with Dolphin"
It was sold at auction in 2005 for $1200.

Wow, good question. It seems to me that I've seen a Moreau bronze but I think it may have been a "cherub" with dolphin. Sorry, that's the best I can do.

I going to assume its done by Vincenzo Gemito, but the actual name of the statue I'm not about.
