I'm not sure if it could do anything to the car (engine, transmission etc) but I would imagine that it would wear on the car after a while, starting and stopping, lower speeds. Also, most cruise control systems won't kick in unless your going over 50 anyways so that has to be considered as well. I only use cruise control on highways and parkways...any road with traffic lights, no.

And remember, no matter what kind of road you are on, cruise control does not do away with the need to still pay attention and never should cruise control be engaged in high volume traffic or poor weather.

In case or rain, yes, but in secondary road and usually you also have traffic coming so it is better to control your car all the times.

It's not bad for the car, but why would you want to. Constantly engaging and disengaging. What a pain that would be. You'd spend more time messing with the cruise control than driving the car.

yes. the reason being, if your on loose gravel or similar and you lose control. the cruise control will still try to stay the same speed which will put you way out of control.

It's dangerous using c.c. in traffic. If there is light traffic on secondary road, then you are alright. Drive safe.

It would depend on the road. If it's a road that has a lot of curves it wouldn't make much sense.

No not bad although if you stopping all the time it would be pointless, I did hear that you should never use it in the rain
