most people are evil it is just the way of the human breed but humans also possess hearts and souls and they can be caring.

Seems like most americans can't even agree on which brand of religion is the "right" one. If we rely on religion to tell us what is "evil", how can we ever agree on what "evil" really is?

No, I think most people are good. They want to be good and want to do good. Some can even rationalise doing a bad thing as a good thing.
