Ok.......this has to do with my singing help question?

Question

What can I do to improve my singing skills? Any tips or suggestions for me?

Uhh...i can't get lessons now cuz i just started school and need to focus until i get into the flow of things....

Im in 8th and i almost always start singing

Pick a song you can sing and practice it all the time. Once you are better at it try another one. Stay away from songs just because they are popular at the time. Too many people want to try and sing the latest Beyonce or Alicia Keys song and then either think they suck at singing cause they can't pull it off or in some cases think they sound great when they really sound horrible. Try easy monotone songs until you learn how to keep a consistant tone and follow the melody and key changes than move on. I've been singing for 9 years and it took 2 or 3 just to get consistant and on key all the time. And another 2 years to get good so... Good luck

As weird as it may sound, try setting your priorities. If school comes first, you'll have to find an alternative way of improving your singing skills, like it has been suggested, pick songs to learn & rehearse at home, try finding some karaoke tracks on the net and... do your thing! Try choosing easier songs for the beginning, not necesarily monotonous.
If singing is a top priority for you, then you should really try to take some singing lessons or join a choir like the others said. It will help develop both your musical ear and your interpretation skills.
A few hours of not-learning haven't killed anyone :)

join a school chior! get a piano and practice scales and notes! what grade are you in anyway!?
