You can expect the mileage to be different from the sticker. They get those numbers in optimal conditions. Changes in altitude temperature tire pressure fuel quality and amount of weight in the vehicle all effect fuel mileage. You can improve they mileage that your vehicle gets though by improving some of these factors. For example you can increase the amount of tire pressure to reduce the rolling resistance. You can also add a throttle body spacer to improve torque so you don't have to hit the gas as hard to get up to speed. Having a free flowing air cleaner and exhaust will also add horsepower and gas mileage if you don't race it. Hope I have been helpful.
