i don't believe you, no man is an island, and maybe you just forgot your neighbor, who's always there for you when you need help, or your wife who shares her life with you. what type of person are you, are you a loner dont you like people, enjoy the company of others? if your not an honest person, maybe you might not have any true friends. true friends are those who are not only good to you, they also tell you when you stink.

I am over 50 and I have close friends from childhood. I have close friends that I have met through the years from work. The secret is.....you must be a giving person from your heart and not expect anything in return. You may want to take a look at your behavior and how you treat people.......I am sure that you have deficits.

It was really hard for me growning up to make friends. Now I am 23 and I only have 1 true friend, but I have known her for almost 10 years.

There is a difference between being alone and being lonely. Finding yourself struggling with a bad relationship will convince you that lonelyness is merely a state of mind.
Once you find self-love you become very selective who you pick as your friends. For, let's face it, in the end you're alone anyway. It's been a long journey for me, but I am my own best friend.

Everyone is to busy. We have bills to pay, work, family, home repair and projects, and much more.
My advice would be join a group or Church. Masons are a great group of folks if you have time.

Sometimes we have friends all around us but we don't really see them,we close our self off. First you have to look inside yourself and like what you see,and if you like it others will see it too.

You have no friends or no "true" friends?
I do agree that it's hard to make new friends at our age.
