I know not dipilitories, but what kind of gel/lotion would work on such a sensitive area? Thanks a lot.

Nothing. Either shave, or wax or sugaring.

Sugaring and waxing are a lot alike, and a lot of salons offer this service nowadays. It's become pretty popular thanks to women like Pamela Anderson and Jenna Jamison.

If you're going to shave, do it OUT of the shower.

Lay down on a towel, on the floor. Position a mirror so that you can see where you'll be working. Have two large bowls of very warm water beside you, a fresh unused razor and shaving cream.
Trim long hair until it is short, but not too short. Apply hot wet towels for a few minutes to soften hair. Apply shaving cream, and shave in the direction of the hair growth, using your fingers to stretch areas taut so that you do not cut yourself. Start at top and continue until all is bare, or as much as you were going for.
Rinse and dry area. Apply a vitamin E oil.
Every day thereafter use a loofah sponge when you wash, to avoid ingrown hairs, just like on your legs.

Repeat as necessary.

I prefer the sugaring method. It hurts like hell, but lasts for weeks!

The safest way to do a brazilian is with a professional. I don't think using any hair removing lotion or gel is a good idea b/c those chemicals are too abrasive for such a sensitive area and you don't want to get any rashes, especially there.
If professional work is not within your budget, then the alternative is the good old razor. Use a shaving cream that's odourless and be patient.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

kimgoddess, be a man, take a good old Gillette razor, load up with a platinum plus blade, put on some good foam and have at it. I would suggest that you do it slowly, but you will discover it will give you the greatest shave ever, follow it up with some good after shave lotion for that tingly feel all over......

I prefer shaving with an ordinary twin- or triple-blade razor with a foam for sensitive skin. Get your partner to help with the areas you can't see yourself, and let the fun begin after you are finished.
My wife uses "Veet for sensitive skin" and finds it works just fine.

I use Veet for a very even and straight lining around the edges. Then I use scissors for the trimming process. My boyfriend and I have already discussed that bald is not always beautiful and he would like a little garden and not a jungle.
