Never got grounded. My Dad, Mom and everybody else would actually hit me with a belt (not to hard, thank God) 'cause I was soooooo mean.... I'm 42 and well behaved now.

I hated it but it played off in the long run for my good. As least I am not lock up and off into michevious things like others. Good dicipline is good for a person when it done correctly. A Child who is corrected for what ever reason will not depart from it when he grows older-spare the rod and ruin the child. So dear do not hate but relate-okay.

I never got grounded, I had a very liberal upbringing where I was a good kid and pretty much did what I wanted. Although, there were times when I felt I should have been grounded and wasn't.

I hope you did and I hope you learned a lesson. I have one daughter who didn't mind that much and would continue getting poor grades and getting into trouble. The other one HATED being grounded, so she kept her grades up to a respectable level and kept her trouble making under my radar.
